Beer is a gift to the world obtained through the alcoholic fermentation of hop-flavored liquified extract of barley malt. It is just a simple natural drink and if consumed with awareness of responsible drinking, it can bring joy to people lives and can create social cohesion. We believe that appropriate drinking and lasting good relationship with alcohol will enrich people’s lives. However, if consumed inappropriate amount, it can harm health and relationship with your social circle.
MBL, with a vision to become the most excellent company in Myanmar, is fully committed to advocating the responsible drinking and make the commitments to achieve zero harmful drinking by implementing the commitment of displaying the awareness-raising-labeling icons in all our products.
Starting in 2019, all of the MBL products display the number of standard drinks so that our consumers can keep track of their alcohol consumption and other labels as well to practice responsible drinking to enjoy more.
RESPONSIBLE DRINKING
From 2019, all products of MBL display the number of standard drinks they contain so that consumers can track on their alcohol consumption and drink responsibly.
STANDARD DRINK
To reduce the risk of harm from alcohol-related disease or injury for healthy men and women, no more than 10 standard drinks per week and no more than 4 standard drinks on any day are recommended. 1 standard drink = 10 grams of alcohol (equivalent to 12.5ml of pure alcohol).
PREGNANCY WARNING LABEL
During pregnancy alcohol consume by the mother passes to the baby through the umbilical cord. Alcohol use during pregnancy can cause miscarriage, stillbirth, and a range of lifelong physical, behavioral, and intellectual disabilities.
DRIVING WARNING LABEL
Driving after drinking is not appropriate. Excess consumption of alcoholic beverages impairs your ability to drive a car or operate machinery and may cause health problem and accidents.
UNDER AGE WARNING LABEL
Sale of alcohol to anyone under 18 is prohibited as well as consumption of alcoholic beverages are not advice.
DRINK RESPONSIBLY CULTURE
MBL has established a commitment to responsible drinking by stating the pure alcohol content on the products, conveying information about the amount of alcohol contained, and conducting awareness sessions to promote a moderate drinking culture in Myanmar and inside and outside of an organization.
