Literacy Day

International Literacy Day was first celebrated in 1967 after being declared by UNESCO at its 14th General Conference in 1966. It is observed on September 8th every year to raise awareness and concern for literacy problems that exist within our own local communities as well as globally

The theme of this year's International Literacy Day is "Transforming Literacy Learning Spaces," To mark the occasion, as part of the CSV concept which is supported by four pillars. MBL has donated books and established a community library in the monastic education center close to the brewery under the category, "the community".
