HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

“Fostering a “safety first” organizational culture”

MBL aims to create an environment and opportunities for its employees to proactively improve their own health and to foster a “safety first” organizational culture. The health and safety of our employees is our first priority, which is why we are striving to reach Zero Accidents at the workplace and on the road since 2020. We promote safe and comfortable workplaces not only for our company employees but also the employees in the whole value chain.

3.1 HEALTH AND WELL-BEING INITIATIVES

1. BLOOD DONATION

Since 2006, MBL conducts blood donation campaigns in coordination with our employees and the National Blood Center in Yangon and Mandalay every year. As of 2021, over 25,000 blood bags were provided to the general public.

2. SMILE PROJECT

Since 2010, MBL supports the Smile Project by collaboration with the Japan Heart organization. The objective of the Smile Project is to support children and infants with cleft palate with necessary surgeries. We have supported 839 children and infants with our Smile Project.

3.2 ENSURING OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY

MBL’s Safety and Health Policy provides guidance in eliminating hazards and reduce occupational health and safety risks through stringent compliance requirements. We commit to continuously develop and adapt safety rules, regulations and procedures which will be supported by annual safety training to educate and instill safety and health consciousness among all employees.

At MBL, our employees receive a wide range of trainings including first aid, emergency drills, fire-fighting and safety awareness every year.
