As an alcohol producer, it’s our responsibility to educate the public about proper alcohol consumption. So we’ve put together this simple guide to help you weigh the risks and potential benefits of drinking alcohol.

Standard Drink

The Myanmar Brewery has established a high program to foster and promote a moderate drinking culture in Myanmar. We promote awareness of proper drinking with priority. From 2019, alcohol content per product symbol is printed and displayed on almost all products of MBL. So that consumers can track on their alcohol consumption and drink responsibly. As a leading beer company and responsible alcohol procedure, we will continue to promote this culture in the country.
Healthy adults is said to be able to metabolize (breakdown) about 1 unit of alcohol per hour.

1 unit = 10 grams of alcohol (equivalent to 12.5ml of pure alcohol)

To reduce the risk of harm from alcohol-related disease or injury for healthy men and women, it was reported that drink no more than 10 standard drinks per week and no more than 4 standard drinks on any one day are recommended.

Myanmar Brewery collect, pick and examines the best of the best materials from around the world to brew the most delicious beer.



Malt is made from barley and it adds body, roasted flavor, color, and foam to beer.

We only use the finest quality of malts that satisfies many conditions that meet Myanmar Brewery standards such as high extract ratio, moderate protein content, high diastatic power etc. We import malt which is made from Australian and European Barley.



We add hops in brewing process to bring the aroma and magnificent taste of bitterness and foam to beer.
Every time you take a sip of our beer, the combination of the aroma and taste is running through the body and you will feel how special it is.
Our experts visit growing district every year and select the best quality of hops. We import the hops from Germany, USA and Czech Republic.



Using rice can achieve clean finish of beer taste.
We focus on local rice to support local economy and our expert visit growing district every 6 months to source the best quality of rice.
We only use the rice that is satisfied with not only quality but also food safety like free of pesticide residue, free of mold toxin, etc.



Finest beers always have the best orchestration of raw materials and water.
Our brewery location has great water resource to brew beer. We use this water after further purification process.
The water is crucial for us. To save the water resource, we also try to save water usage at our production process.

Raw materials really delivered to the manufactory checked for actual things and knowledge at the time of receipt and before use. Supporting the condition of raw agricultural merchandise that are not continually identical, we tend to monitor every method and improve brewing recipe of the specified quality.

For example, at the fermentation process, we tend to use yeast with high activity and healthiness. And monitor whether fermentation and maturation are progressing in an acceptable pattern using both analysis and sensory test.
